The RO strikes Gold with new prospect
The RO is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Gold who has joined the RO Real Estate team as Development Surveyor. Tom joins from GVA, where he was an Associate Director. He will primarily be based in the Group’s London office and will report to David Kershaw, General Manager, RO Real Estate.
Tom brings complementary skills in both commercial property as well as student, PRS and healthcare sectors.
At GVA Tom was based in their National Investment Division where he worked on the acquisition and disposal of standing investments and forward funding, preparation of purchase reports, asset plans and financial modelling and the preparation of development appraisals and advising on development viability. This background will prove invaluable as RO enhances and grows the asset portfolio value, with substantial development plans over the next few years.
Prior to his role at GVA Tom worked at a number of property companies including King Sturge, DTZ, Shaftesbury and NB Real Estate in their property management team. Tom holds a First Class Honours Degree in Real Estate (Development & Planning) from the University of Reading, and is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer.
Commenting on the appointment David Kershaw, General Manager, RO Real Estate said:
The RO has a diverse range of interests and Tom has relevant experience in a number of sectors relevant to the Group including commercial real estate, housing and healthcare. He also has good knowledge of many of the geographies in the South of England that are important to RO Real Estate and the other Group companies.
Tom has demonstrated that he has a complete grasp of our core principle of being ‘in business to do business’ and we believe that he will prove to be a great asset and addition to the team. He is a great prospect for the future and we look forward to helping him develop his career.
